I bought expensive wicks hoping for a better burn performance - not!
"I find it hard to throw away premium priced candles from Yankee Candle because the wick is burned up but huge amounts of wax remain. So I bought replacement wicks from a local source (Walmart?) and recast the candles. Wicks burned out quickly. Bought from Flaming candle - best wicks I could find, followed their selection chart. Same results, wick is burned to a nub and is downing in a pool of wax. Really wish I could find some more robust wicks."

- Hi There, I recently purchased the Premier-780 6" pre tabbed wicks. I burn tested them before I made them in my candle jar. I got a ton of smoke that lingered, and it smelt burnt after I blew wick out. I cut the wick and did it two more times with the same result very bad smoke lingering and burnt smell. Is it normal for a wick to have that much smoke and smell burned before I even use it in a candle? Thank you, Carrie

- Hi there! I'm using the 16oz salsa jar and wondering what size you would recommend for the premier? widest diameter is 3.3. lip opening is just at 3. and I'm use PRO blend 600 with 8% fragrance oil.

If you are interested in using the premier series wicks you can take your jars diameter and find size options available best to test out. Based on our online wick guide for a 3.3" diameter we would suggest testing 760, or 765. We have attached our wick guide below for your reference.
