"I've been buying from you guys since 2014 and always satisfied (by the way). But Merlin's Forest is my absolute favorite of all time! I just bought 20 different fragrances from you within the last two months and even then Merlin's Forest is still my favorite out of all. It has a great balance of your pine, earthy,and floral combo. Surprised and disappointed

"I was surprised by this scent. Given the name I expected a more ""forest scent. You know pine, fir things like that. Instead it smells like baby powder. Just straight baby powder. My daughter said that it smelled like an old lady. very powdery and floral. It wasn't what I was looking for at all. I think adding pine and Frazier fir to this scent will greatly help! I thought making candles with it might help the scent mellow some. It didn't at all!"

Q&A

Would this fragrance oil blend well with a pine scent such as Fraser Fir?
Thank you for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, we have not tested out mixing this fragrance at our facility. However, if you are looking to expand on the pine notes already in this fragrance you could try testing out mixing a Frasier fir to see if it meets your expectations. Hope this helps!
I have a feeling I know the answer to this question based on the vanillin percentage, but I'm going to ask anyway. Does this fo discolor in cold process soap and if so what color should I expect after curing?
Hi Bethany! Unfortunately we have not had the opportunity to test this fragrance in cold process soap yet. Due to the high vanillin content we recommend testing a small batch to see what type of discoloration occurs. We hope to test this one here in our lab soon!
