HTP-83 wicks are coreless, cotton flat braid wick with paper filament throughout, providing the structural strength of a paper core wick. Their self-trimming and complete combustion burning characteristics minimize mushrooming and soot. HTP wicks may be used in tealight, votive, pillar, and container candles. The versatility of HTP makes them suitable for use in soy waxes and lower melt point paraffin waxes, including single pour paraffin waxes which are more viscous in nature.

Ehhh

"I was offered these as the correct size for my 3 and 1/2-in container candle as we all know this is way too small for a 3 and 1/2-in container candle. And tried to double the wick up which was too small for my 3 and 1/2 in which it shouldn't have been anyhow I'm not very pleased with the wick it was trying to put itself out in the second burn when I did the double wick"

Great Wicks

"Nice wick, very little sooting."

Jacqueline F. (5/5)

These were difficult to work with. . .

"These just collapsed as soon as we poured our wax into the molds. . . the wick is not seated securely into the metal and many just fell apart as soon as we poured and ruined the entire candle. This was also true for the other two sizes that we used. I typically get my wicks from BetterBee, but I thought I'd try these ones for a change, but I don't think I'll purchase any more of them. We are cutting off the metal tabs and using wick stabilizers so we don't waste them."

Q&A

Are these good for 8oz and 16oz mason jars with 464 soy wax?
Hi Larissa! While the HTP wicks can be used with soy wax we typically recommend using an ECO or CD series wick. If you want to use the HTP wicks we recommend testing to make sure the size is correct and gives you a good burn. Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are happy to help!
