Great Fall Holiday scent!

"Great scent, and could be advertised as more masculine fragrance. In fact, my 28 year old son requests wax melts throughout the entire season! He absolutely loves this scent! I wouldn't describe it as just a Christmas fragrance, but something you could start using in September! It has a rustic, woodsy, spice smell to it, and very strong! Using the proper fragrance oil percentage, a high quality wax , and proper temperatures, hot throw is amazing !"

Q&A

I've been having issues achieving a hot throw with this oil. I'm using 464 soy wax, and my process is to add the fragrance at 185 F and mix thoroughly for 5 minutes. Then, I pour at 135 F. I'm using a 9 oz. straight sided amber canning jar and a 9% fragrance load with a CD 12 wick. I've tried lower fragrance loads as well, including 8%, 7%, and 6% with no success. My candle-making process works perfectly for all of my fragrance oils except Cozy Cabin. Is this fragrance oil known to have a subtle throw in soy wax? Is it compatible with soy wax? I know some fragrance oils don't work very well in soy, but I purchased this oil under the impression that all The Flaming Candle's fragrance oils are strong performers in soy wax since the website says that all the oils are "formulated to work in both paraffin and soy."
