What is Granular Wax?
Granular wax, sometimes called granulated candle wax, is made up of tiny wax beads that can be scooped, layered, and molded into any desired shape. Unlike traditional melted wax, granular wax lets you design candles with color patterns, swirls, or even custom layers without the need for complex equipment.
The wax granules are easy to handle, making it a great option for DIY projects, gifts, or seasonal displays. If you want to change up your candle’s design later or make a mistake in the design process, you can simply pour out the wax and start again!
Does Granulated Candle Wax Hold Scent Well?
Yes! Granulated candle wax is designed to hold fragrance oils just like traditional candle wax blends. While the scent throw may be slightly lighter than a fully poured candle, you’ll still enjoy a noticeable fragrance when using high-quality oils like those from The Flaming Candle.
If you want a stronger scent experience, try fragrances that perform especially well in container candles. Regardless, follow recommended fragrance load guidelines to keep your granular wax candles burning safely and cleanly.
