"Was hoping to like this product due to the mix reviews. But this base is too liquidity and doesn't smell good, even after adding fragrance to it. We tried to put it in the refrigerator hoping it would help but it didn't. Don't recommend."
Good once you adjust it
"At first, I wasn't really sure about the base. It seemed runny and a bit dry after application. However, once I spoke to customer service about how I might make the base more moisturizing, I added some jojoba oil and/or peach kernel oil to the base at about 1% and ended up with a very luxurious lotion. I also added about 2. 5% natural fragrance oil to the base and it had a nice light scent. It was definitely a bit of trial and error. If I noticed that the oils I added started to float on top, I just added a bit more lotion base and it combined again. I hope this helps anyone who might have felt a little disappointed about the base. Pros: lightweight, quick absorbing, doesn't clog pores, non-greasy, accepts fragrance oils and carrier oils, contains organic ingredients Cons: initially feels dry, runny and a bit sticky right out of the bottle, needs additives to feel luxurious"

- What is the recommended and/or maximum fragrance load that can be added to this base? For example: How much fragrance can safely be added to 16oz of lotion base?
- Hi Kae! The usage rate as recommended by Stephenson is 0.5% fragrance, or 0.08 ounces per pound of base.
- What is the measurement per oz for fragrance oil in the base lotion?

This is since each fragrance oil has different maximum usage amounts. We would recommend looking on the product page for the fragrance oil you are interested in testing out. - Hi There, The amount of fragrance to be added to this lotion is dependent upon the individual fragrance you are interested in using. Not all of our fragrances are deemed safe for body products like lotions. We recommend going to the fragrance's product page on our website you are looking to use and referencing the IFRA chart. This chart has categories like lotions, soaps, and candle products on the left-hand side. If the oil is deemed safe for lotions there will be a maximum safe percentage on that chart and that will let you know the maximum you may want to add to your product. Hope this helps.
