Brown particles in wax

"I do like using this wax for candles but the last couple batches ive received once you nelt them down has a bunch of pieces of dirt or something floating in the wax i think im going to have to find a different wax"

It's a fragrance gobbler. . .

"Hate this wax with a passion. Yes, it's very pretty and it's super easy to wick. That being said, I have to use 10% fo to smell the scent! That is a waste to me and for that reason alone, I will not use this wax. I tested all my favorite fragrances and though they do great in other waxes, they do not do well in this one, so I'll be using it 10% at a time until it's gone with my coco wax. If you make unscented candles, this wax would be great because as I said it is very pretty and definitely a one pour wax, no issues with sinkholes or anything like that-but if I can't get a fragrance to throw at 6% or wax to throw at 6% fragrance load, it's a goner."

Wax

"Very soft as if it's already melting but I love the throw when it cools"

"Great blend love finish"

10 lb chunk

"Love this wax so far. Its a bit messy. The 10 lb comes in one big chunk. It would be helpful to have the 10 lbs pre-sectioned into 1lb portions. Not sure if that is possible but it would help create less mess."

Problend 400 container wax

"I really like this wax for containers. This wax burns very well. I like that I don't need to use a dye with this, although I have. The consistency is very nice. The wax is super easy to cut and weigh. At first I struggled with finding a wick to use but, now I have found them and I am getting great responses from those whom I give candles too. I have logged many hours to a 12 oz candle."

"Easy to work with, fragrance throw is good"

Great Wax

"I've bought this wax last year. And I didn't get a good result. But I decided to revisit this wax. This wax is wonderful. When I first tried it I didn't have enough knowledge of candle making. But since I've gotten more experience not a pro by any means. I love this wax. I've found in my testing it works for me as a blender. I'm testing it with soy right now. I've gotten nothing but great burns and wonderful ht. For me it's the answer to my wicking problems also. No smoke or anything, when mixed with soy. I will be using this wax going forward. With a little more testing I believe I will be able to begin to sell my candles. Thank you Flaming Candle Company for making my dream come true. Will always be a customer of yours."

Q&A

What’s the difference between a CD wick Versus a LX wick
Both are flat braid cotton wicks but are braided differently. Our LX wicks are coreless, untabbed (on a spool), and are not primed. CD wicks are primed with a high-melt wax coating, are pre-tabbed, and perform best in soy and denser waxes.
What would be the best wick to use with this wax in a 12oz salsa jar?
Hi Nanette, we suggest testing Zinc 44-32-18z, 51-32-18z, 60-44-18z -or- Premier 765, 775, 780, 785. You can determine whether to wicking up or down is necessary, and which type of wick best suits your needs.
Hi. Can I use this wax for molds?
Hi Rabbiah! We recommend a wax specifically formulated for mold release such as IGI 4625 Paraffin Pillar Wax, ProBlend 450, ProBlend 550, or ProBlend 650. A container wax will adhere to the sides of the container while pillar waxes shrink to unmold easily and cleanly.
Hi. Can I mix this wax with soy 464 or soy 444?
Hi Robyn! Yes, ProBlend 400 blends well with 464 and 444! You just may have to adjust pouring temperatures, fragrance load, and/or cure time.
Can I use this was for tealight candles also?
Hi Amanda! Yes, this container wax may be used for tea light candles.
