"It melts quickly and does not cure properly. I have been making candles for a long time and know how to use certain fragrance oils, which flash points are acceptable and so on. I have to discard the candles i have made with this wax because the quality is not a reflection of my business. I love all the scents I buy from here, but this wax is just awful"

My go to soy wax

"My go to soy wax"

Amazing !!!

"I love everything about this wax! It's easy to work with has amazing cold and hot scent throw and looks super creamy with smooth tops! For the reviews saying they have issues try warming your jars in the oven first (I use my keep it warm setting at 145°) and have never had an issue. I also pour and let cool in a room over 65°. My customers love them!!"

Good upgrade for GW 464

"Initially dealt with some sinkholes, but got those resolved with preheating the jars. Silky smooth tops and less problems than the GW 464 that I started out with."

Too many sinkholes for production wax

"Hey there, I wanted to know if you guys have worked with 419 wax. I have done multiple tests with this wax from temps 125- 180 with premier wicks. All can be poured with perfect adhesion and smooth tops however there are craters inside once burning with every single candle. these tests were conducted with cooling on wire rack covered and uncovered. Unfortunately the beautiful pour and adhesion is ruined by the fact every candle has to be skewered and filled in with second pour or skewered and heat gunnedI have tried contacting AAK but this is a huge problem."

Not Super Soy. Issues with many air pockets

"I conducted another test yesterday by pouring test batches of 419 wax, which was very low and almost congealed. If anyone is wondering about this wax, it is not a single-pour wax. The trade-off is that it requires typical soy wax maintenance due to air pockets. I'm still waiting for AAK to respond. Additionally, I tried tempering the wax by heating, cooling, and reheating, as this was once the "cure" for C3 wax, but this did not improve the results. Here's the summary of the test: I bought two 5-pound bags from different suppliers. Candles were tested with pours ranging from 100 to 180 degrees, using a 6% fragrance load with Premier wicks. I tested various conditions, including insulated vs. non-insulated pours, on racks and off. Candles were also tested with the following additives including coconut 92 and palm container wax with a 1% additive as these have been found to improve 464 wax. Every single candle poured with good adhesion, even at 100 degrees, and set with smooth tops. The afterburn was also completely smooth. However, every candle had air pockets that either required skewering and a heat gun or a double pour to correct. Visually, the candles looked fine, but burning revealed the issues. This wax is very similar in appearance to 494 tart wax which I tested as a container wax blended` with some other waxes to improve adhesion but discontinued due to the same issue of severe air pockets in every single candle. AAK has not cleaned up this wax enough im my opinion enough to make this any kind of production wax. All the tests were done to keep the claims of natural wax without blending with a paraffin."

"I love how easy this wax is to work with! Not to mention the great HT and smooth finish it gives! I tried other wax I'm sticking to this one"

Love it!!!

"I love this wax. It's easy to work with and the oils blend very well with it. I love how my candles cool white, little to no frosting, and with smooth tops."

Very Soft but Good

"I blend my waxes; this wax is exceptionally soft and will melt during shipping, even in San Diego. It is not recommended to ship candles anywhere where there is any heat. Also, I don't recommend it for outdoor markets. But if you are a blender, this wax is great and will give your wax that smooth top and glass adhesion you are looking for at a great price! Make sure you test the wicks you use, as you might need to adjust the size if you blend them with another wax. You might need to go up or down. If you use this wax alone, you might need to go up, but if you blend it with Coconut or Apricot, you will need to go down. It does have a great throw. The price is excellent too from Flaming Candle, even with shipping!"

"Just tried this for the first time and it was so great. Gave the smoothest finish. My candles look flawless."

Q&A

What is the pour temp recommended that people are using, as every single test candle I have tried with this wax has sinkholes near wick. It sets up beautiful, the afterburn is completely smooth but the sinkholes are a HUGE PROBLEM. As is with sinkholes issue, this cannot be a production wax.
Hello! A second pour, re-heating jars and insulating after pouring, gently tapping containers to release trapped air, and controlling the ambient temperature of the room can help prevent sinkholes. What will be the best sugestión wick series to work with these wax?
Hi Carol! We recommend CD or ECO wicks with soy wax. Our Wick Guide in our website Resource Center can provide a size range for testing based on your container diameter.
What is the percentage of fragrance oil this wax can hold?
Hi Michelle, the recommended fragrance load is 5% - 10%.
