Q&A

using Coco soy wax in a 16oz mason jar with a 2.5-3in opening. using the ECO 8 6in wicks and I'm having tunneling I'm not sure what to do about it? should I go up to ECO 10 wicks?
Hi Macy, tunneling usually indicates the wick is too small, so wick up and continue testing. If you can't find the optimal size in ECO wicks, try CD wicks.
The eco 8 wicks are consistently popping and sparking right after lighting. This disperses ash into and around the candle. It happens whether or not I trim the wick. I have not had this issue with other eco 8 wicks for my candles of the same size and composition.
Hello! Because so many factors affect wicking, it's difficult to determine the cause without more information. It could be the recipe, the specific fragrance oil or another additive, your fragrance load, the wax may have moisture/water droplets or air pockets, the candle could be in a draft, or the wick could have dust or debris on it, just to name a few possibilities. Would these work good for your square 4oz mason jars? I'm using 444 soy wax. I was using eco 10 but thought I should maybe wick down a bit?
Hi Alicia, CD and ECO wicks perform well in soy wax. If you want to stick with ECO, we do suggest testing both ECO 8 and 10, particularly if you are experiencing any issues with ECO-10. Is Eco 8 good for double wicking 4in diameter vessel's?

What are your eco wicks coated with? It says a natural wax coating but not sure what that means. Is it beeswax, soy or paraffin ? Thank you
