Q&A

I'm using Soy 464 wax. Would I use CD-18 for the tins? One website recommended to use CD-18 for jars with Soy 464 but wasn't sure if the same wick (CD-18) applies to tins as well? Or do you recommend another wick for the tins? Thanks!
Hi Jennifer! Based on our Wick Guide (found in our Resource Center) and the 2.8" diameter of the tins, we recommend starting your testing in the wick range of CD 14, 16, & 18.
The 6 oz tin cans i will be using IG 6006, GB 464, GB444, and C-6 Coco Soy Waxes. Can someone help me with wick sizes for each wax?
Hi Nerissa! Unfortunately there is no one size fits all when it comes to wicks. We recommend testing a few different wick sizes with each wax and fragrance combination. The best place to start is by referencing our Wick Guide. Here you can use the diameter/width of the container to see what sizes are recommended for testing. Also have a look at our Resource Center for guidance on how to conduct wick testing. Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are happy to help!
Do these tins have raised feet on the bottom?
Hi Carrie! These tins do not have "feet" on the bottom, however, for this particular container there is a raised edge around the bottom of the tin that prevents the middle portion from being in direct contact with a surface. Please note that our other sizes of tins do not have this raised edge. I hope this helps!
What material are these tins and are they recyclable?
Hi Wendy! Our candle tins are made from tin and are treated with a protective coating to help prevent the metal from reacting with fragrance oils. They can be recycled. Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are happy to help!
What wick do you guys used with the 6oz tins.
Hi Esmeralda! We recommend testing a few sizes in the particular series of wick you want to use. Testing is the only way to know for certain that a particular wick size will work properly. A great place to start wick testing is by referencing our Wick Guide. Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are happy to help!
