"Good projection out of the bottle. I set it aside for a few days after receiving it in the hopes it would start to smell like what I had in mind from the listed description but, so far, it still smells like Toffee Apple to me. The "Poached Apples" note dominates the fragrance. It's a pleasant gourmand fragrance, and I imagine a lot of people would appreciate it in bath and body products. I was hoping for more tonka."
"I love this oil. It is sweet, indulgent, buttery, & rich with strong hot and cold throw. I tested at 10% in 464, and it was phenomenal. It isn't a candy (gourmand) scent. It is much more than that. I can't think of anything I have blended it with that wasn't made better. I put it in FC's tobacco caramel, and it is a real hit. It is gorgeous in my earthy leather scent. I added it to FC Whiskey and it was amazing. I generally use ambers to round out blends, but I am leaning heavy on this one now. It is sultry in my amber base blend I put in so many things. It smooths out the sharp notes of woody & marine fragrances. It tones down heady florals without overpowering them. It even improves vanilla! Try it with cedar, too. This is by far my most useful blender. If it is ever discontinued, I will be lost, lol."
"originally bought this for an additive to other scents but now I'm buying my 2nd 2 pounds of this FO! I've tried (I think!) almost all of TFC's FO's and this is by far my absolute favorite. It smells warm, like a fresh baked browned butter cookie. I really dont like 'baked goods' scents, they're usually too sweet and overpowering with vanilla, but not this one. I'm so happy I found one that I enjoy burning! I actually have two burning in my house now!"
"I am pairing this with a fruit & whiskey fragrance I am making, and it delivers exactly what I was looking for. This takes the sting out of the whiskey and puts the sweetness in the apple scented gourmand I am using as the primary ingredient. There are not a lot of blends that can do as much heavy lifting. I am not a huge fan of gourmands, so I frequently look to tone down the sickly-sweet nature of so many of these blends. It is a buttery kind of sweet as smooth as vanilla."
"I love this scent. It can be blended to boost the cold throw of a gourmand and add a smooth, buttery kind of sweetness. It is beautiful in FC's Midnight Bourbon, and it took some of the sting out of FC's Whiskey (which is also spot on). I am trying it out in blends where vanilla might otherwise be used, and I am very impressed with what it brings to a blend. There is something very special about this fragrance that I cannot describe. It can be used alone for a gourmand or blended to bring an elegance and depth that gives a blend that special something. I am really enjoying this one. It is potent so the cold throw is brilliant. And as any candle maker knows, cold throw is king."

"I just received my very fast shipment today and let me tell you this Toffee & Tonka is da BOMB. I only got a sample and have not put it in wax yet but am doing that later today but OOB it is strong and amazing. I'm getting the bigger bottle. This to me is a truly Gourmand scent which my customers love so I want to get enough to do melts, candles, and room sprays. Thanks Flaming Candle for the fast delivery and out of this world scent.
