Sugared Maple Fragrance Oil

"Product misbehaved in both candle and cold process soap. In the candle the fragrance oil wept out of the candle after 24 hours. See photo. I used product at 4% which is less than recommended amount. In cold process soap it separated my oils and I had to throw it away. I think it is a bad batch or old. This was the first time I have ever had a fragrance oil misbehave. The smell was great but the product is terrible."

"Extremely disappointed in this product. This Fragrance Oil seeped out of the top of my candle I made after 24 hours. Will need to throw the candle away. Also tried it in cold process soap and it separated the oils. I will need to throw the soap away as well. I think the product is bad."

"About 2 weeks ago, I walked into a Joan Fabrics store, and as I walked through the entrance, I was immediately struck with the most amazing smell ever! Maple pecan pine cones singing in a box ready to be purchased! I immediately took a note of the scent, and as soon as I got home, I came straight to FCC, and tried to find something that would replicate that smell, and I landed on this one! When my order arrived, I couldn't wait to open the bottle, and when I did, I was shocked that it WAS that amazing scent I smelled in the entrance at the store! I couldn't wait to make wax melts out of it, and have them melting throughout the house! It is one of the most wonderful scents I've tried! Hot throw is amazing! Safe to say, it'll be a staple from near on out!"

Q&A

Good Afternoon, I really love the smell of Sugar Maple Fragrance Oil and purchased a 1 ounce bottle to try in Cold Process Soap for a charity fundraiser next month. I used a maple leaf mold (3) which holds 8 ounces of soap oils and lye water total. I used .4 ounces of this Fragrance Oil in my soap. I am not a soap newbie and have been making soap for 5 years. I have purchased and used your products for candle making and soap making in the past and never had an issue. In the soap making the oils separated after pouring and the soap turned brown on the top. I was expecting some discoloration due to the vanillan content, but was shocked when the oils separated. I waited 48 hours and the oils were still separated. I was concerned if the Fragrance Oil was bad or if it was something else... I then made a 12 ounce candle and used 4% Fragranace Oil in it. After 24 hours I have Sweat Oil on the top. I have never experienced this before either. What should I do?
