used with paraffin wax

"Used this with 3. 5 in mold. First it didn't burn to well then i relised my wic was more than a quarter in high. I trimmed it and it burned much better. There's no such 5hin as a 5 rating even tho it was used era that gave me a problem"

Right size

"This wick worked perfectly for a pure paraffin wax blend used in a pillar style candle that is 1. 5 inches diameter with a melt point of about 128 degrees"

Whipping P. (5/5)

Love this wick!

"I'm new to candlemaking so was a little hesitate about buying this wick, but I'm glad I did. It was easy to install in the wick tabs and best of all it burns so clean with no black smoke rising from the wick. I will definitely be buying more of this for my future candlemaking projects."

Q&A

Does this wick need to be treated in any way prior to pouring? Dipped in wax and dried or anything?
Hi Shana! The LX wicks are untreated -- priming is not necessary, but you are welcome to test both with and without priming to see which performs best for your needs.
Hi do this wick needs to be put in soy wax to be firmed? before putting the wick in the candle? Or why is like a ribbon?
Thank you for reaching out to us. Yes, these wicks need to be coated with a wax and tabbed prior to use. You can coat this wick in paraffin or soy wax whichever may work best for your candle-making recipe.
I have a tall vase and wanted to be able to measure wick myself, I'll be using NatureWax C-3 Soy Wax and wanted to know if this was compatible ? Diameter is about 3'
Hi Ashley, Yes, this wick is compatible in the C-3 wax. The LX-24 wick is designed for use in larger 3-4" candles. If you are going to use this in a vase you would need to tab the wick for use in a container.
Would this wick work for a 160z mason jar Thank u Beth 814-312-0234
Hi Beth! You would need to test the wick in the vessel using the your particular candle recipe. This would be the best way to determine if the wick is going to burn properly all the way to the bottom of the vessel. Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are happy to help!
Hello. Which size tab should i purchase to use with this? Thank you
Hi Leanna! We recommend using the 20 x 6 mm tab when making candles with a diameter greater than 1.5 - 2 inches. For votive candles and tealights we would recommend using the 20 x 3 mm tab. Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are happy to help!
