Q&A
- Can this uv inhibitor also be used in wax melts and melt and pour soap? Thank you.
- Hi Jenni! Yes, our UV Inhibitor can be used in wax melts! However, we also recommend trying our Vanilla Color Stabilizer in Melt & Pour soap -- it may yield better results as it is specifically formulated for use in MP soap bases.
- Hello! Is it possible to use any or all of the available additives together in your candles, such as pillars and votives, if you choose so?
- Hi! We recommend extensive testing when adding any additives. While you can add as many additives as you want, it will affect the burning characteristics. We hope this helps!
- hi, Can be used in coconut soy blend wax? How do I know if my fragrance has vanillin in it?
- Hi Natalia! The UV inhibitor is safe for use in all of the waxes we carry. For our fragrances please reference the Product Description under each fragrance to determine if it has vanillin in it. I hope this helps!
- I want to use a few scents that have vanillin in them but don't want the candle to discolor over time, is there anything I can do that doesn't involve dying the candle? Will your UV Inhibitor stop the candle with vanillin in it from discoloring? Would it be better if I dye them like a cream color or light brown (or any other color) will the yellow from the vanillin still discolor the dye over time?
- Hi Kristen! Thank you for your question. The UV Inhibitor can help reduce the discoloring that is caused from vanillin, however, it will not completely prevent it. Using dyes can help mask, however, they also can discolor due to vanillin. Please let us know if you have any other questions. We are happy to help!
