    CD-20 6" Pre-Tabbed Wick

CD wicks are a coreless, non-directional, cotton flat braid wick with paper filament throughout, providing increased rigidity. They can be used for tealights, votives, pillars, and container candles. CD wicks are versatile and work well in more viscous waxes, such as single pour paraffin and soy (vegetable) waxes. They are self trimming and designed to promote a consistent burning flame.

    Our CD-20 wicks are:

    • primed with a natural wax coating
    • 6" in length
    • pre-tabbed in a 20mm X 6mm tab

The CD-20 wick may be suitable for:

    • large (3-4") pillar and container candles

Note: We recommend testing new wick sizes when making any modifications to existing candle recipes or making new candles. Burning characteristics can be altered by changes in wax, fragrance oil, dye, and/or additives, which could result in a different optimal wick size for the same diameter candle.

    1. Organic Wax Burn 4 Star Review

Posted by on 30th Mar 2018

Using these wicks to burn organic soy wax worked well in the containers I tested (3oz-15oz). Ive been having issues finding the right wick and these worked very well! Even burn throughout

    2. Right wick, wrong jar 3 Star Review

Posted by on 29th Mar 2018

I shopped around and experimented with different wicks. I was having a problem with tunneling but, not with this wick. These wicks were great as far as that and they came recommended by staff @ The Flaming Candle. The only issue I faced was that it should be used on a wider mouth jar when making candles (my fault). There was some black smoke when initially lit and flame is high but, it stopped. After flame is put out big piece of wick is still left curled at the top. This wick was used on a few candles I made and sent to different people I know for them to test and provide feedback. Overall, I like it and if the user follows directions regarding trimming wick after use then its fine. Not too bad. I'd buy it again and use in a different jar.
