CD-10 6" Pre-Tabbed Wick
CD wicks are a coreless, non-directional, cotton flat braid wick with paper filament throughout, providing increased rigidity. They can be used for tealights, votives, pillars, and container candles. CD wicks are versatile and work well in more viscous waxes, such as single pour paraffin and soy (vegetable) waxes. They are self trimming and designed to promote a consistent burning flame.
Our CD-10 wicks are:
- primed with a natural wax coating
- 6" in length
- pre-tabbed in a 20mm X 6mm tab
The CD-10 wick may be suitable for:
- medium (2-3") pillar candles
Note: We recommend testing new wick sizes when making any modifications to existing candle recipes or making new candles. Burning characteristics can be altered by changes in wax, fragrance oil, dye, and/or additives, which could result in a different optimal wick size for the same diameter candle.
CD-10 6" Wicks

I have had not so great luck with wicks, and testing them is perhaps the most frustrating part of making candles. I purchased some nice wooden wicks from another supplier and while they are a novel idea, even with the largest one used, they did not burn evenly in my 4 oz., tin soy candles, the wax tunneled, which meant the candle was under-wicked. So after much frustration at having wood wicks that were pretty useless for MY purpose, I searched high and low and after good reviews here and on blogs, I decided to try this, the CD-10 wick in my 4 oz., pure soy candle with a full FO load. I am thrilled! The burn pool was perfect, right to the edges, no carbon at all and no mushrooming on the wick. I was actually expecting some mushrooming thinking I OVER-wicked, but I did a 4 hour test burn and there were zero negative effects. I guess I will use my wooden wicks in a smaller (2 oz?) container. Thank you TFC once again for providing an excellent and useful product. I will be reordering these very soon!

i use these and cd 12 in my 4oz container candle single pour paraffin. they work well but with cd wicks make sure you keep wicks trimmed between burning timea or you just may see smoke. i use cd wicks in all my container candles.
Works well but...

I tried this and the CD 12 in my 4oz containers. They lit well and the wax melt was great but there is so much smoke when I blew the wicks out...I'm not sure how people will like that...
